Exquisite ca 1780 Hand Painted Hand Fan fan-01

This is an exquisite late 18th century (ca 1780) hand painted fan.  The painting is done on vellum, ivory sticks & guards with a total of 24 sticks.   Size: 10.25 inches in length (closed) and 20 inches tip to tip (opened)

This comes with a custom full green Morocco leather box with gilt rolled edges and double clasps made by Duvelleroy.

Condition (fan):  In very good condition but with restoration to guard. 

Condition (box): In excellent condition with just a slight hint of wear.

An exceptional, early hand fan.  A good addition to any collection.
