An exceptionally fine execution frome the hand of a master ! Portrait miniature of Baronne De Stael. Although unsided, we believe this is by the renound artist Marie-Victoire Jaquotot, ca 1819, with a lovely original antique carved wood & gilt frame.

She also gained fame by maintaining a salon for leading intellectuals.
